VERY IMPORTANT

When booking transfers with Platinum Transfers, it is extremely important that you enter the UK landing time for your flight. If you wish to be collected at a different time, this must be stated clearly in the comments section. Please do NOT enter your desired pickup time as the landing time.

We schedule drivers based on the landing time provided. Any delays caused by incorrect landing times are outside of our control, as we rely entirely on the information supplied at the time of booking.

Payments

Drivers must be paid in cash wherever possible. If payment is made by card or bank transfer, VAT may be applied. VAT may become applicable at any time during should we exceed the VAT threshold.

We aim to avoid VAT registration to keep prices as low as possible. Once VAT registered, a 20% VAT charge will apply to all card and bank payments.

Please note: If you have old Platinum Transfers bank details, do NOT make payment. Our previous bank account was closed in April 2024.

Night Premium Charges

All journeys taking place between 20:00 and 03:00 are subject to a £10 night premium per trip. This applies 7 days a week and reflects night-shift rates for drivers.

Bank Holiday Charges

From 2025 onwards, journeys taking place on UK Bank Holidays will incur an additional charge. This charge is applied on top of any night premium where applicable.

Communicating With the Driver

You must reply to the driver once they contact you (a simple “thank you” is sufficient). Drivers will message you approximately 24 hours before each trip.

Any delays, changes, or issues must be communicated directly to the driver and/or the office. Failure to communicate may result in additional waiting charges.

Fees Applied After Flight Landing

All prices include waiting time from the moment your flight lands:

  • Car: 45 minutes included
  • Estate / Minibus: 1 hour included

If the included waiting time is exceeded, the following charges apply:

  • Car: £5 per 15 minutes (£20 per hour)
  • Estate / Minibus: £8 per 15 minutes (£32 per hour)

Soiling Charges

Any soiling charge is £120, payable upon drop-off at the destination.

No food or drink is permitted in any vehicle due to previous incidents involving spillages and rubbish. Any breach of this policy will result in a cleaning charge.

Car Seats

We do not supply car seats. If you bring your own, please clearly label it with your name, flight number, and mobile number.

Please WhatsApp 01908 277 777 on the day of travel to remind us to return your car seat. Platinum Transfers accepts no liability for damage to personal car seats.

Please note: Car seats are not legally required in licensed taxis.

Delayed or Cancelled Flights

You must inform us if your flight is delayed, cancelled, or on time by WhatsApp or calling 01908 277 777 or by emailing info@platinumtransfers.co.uk.

While we do monitor flights, information is not always accurate. If you have the driver’s contact details, please contact them directly.

For short-haul flights, an additional charge may apply, as we allow approximately 1.5 hours travel time from Milton Keynes to airports such as Heathrow.

Notice for Not Requiring Transfers

We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for any transfer that is no longer required.

  • Less than 48 hours’ notice: 80% of the journey fare payable
  • Incorrect dates with less than 24 hours’ notice: 85% of the journey fare payable

Any no-shows will be invoiced for 100% of the fare. If payment is not received within 7 days, an additional 10% charge will be added. Continued non-payment may result in further action, including small claims court proceedings.

If Your Flight Has Been Diverted

If your flight is diverted to another airport, the original fare will still apply, plus any additional costs if the new airport is further away (e.g. booked for Luton, landed at Heathrow).

If the flight diverts and you no longer require our services, the full fare remains payable.

Pre-Payments

If payment has been made by card or bank transfer and a cancellation or refund is required, a £30 administration fee will apply to cover processing costs.

We do not hold credit for future trips. No pre-payments are accepted after 5th April each year. Pre-payments resume from 6th April for the new tax year.

Price Changes

Due to rising fuel and operating costs, prices may increase slightly after a quote is given. Any increase will typically be between £2–£5 maximum.

Airport pickup and drop-off fees are set by airports and may change at short notice, which can affect the quoted price.

Sponsor Requirements

When sponsoring, payments can only be made by card. Bank transfers are not accepted due to processing time, fees, and accounting requirements.

If payment by card is not possible, we will unfortunately be unable to proceed with sponsorship.
